The Bard Embodied: Shakespeare Alive!

This is your invitation to immerse yourself in the world of Shakespeare. We will explore verse, metrical structure, rhetorical devices, and “tools of the trade” to help us better understand the Bard's language—all aimed at revealing character and acting choices. This course will be playful and active. There will be “table work,” text analysis, all-abilities movement, group and solo work, and, of course, working with text on our feet. Some memorization may be called for. Whether you are a Shakespeare aficionado, your Bard’s a bit dusty, or you are simply curious… this course is for you!  All levels of experience are welcome!
