Savor the Planet: Sampling the best of prized comestibles
Following the example of Eat the Planet (oysters, honey, tea, cheese, foraging), for this semester we have cued up more tastes to delight the palate, along with the local artisanal experts who produce, process, or purvey them. The depth and complex flavors of the world’s olive oils, coffees, and chocolates, along with beers and wines crafted on our native soil, will be presented. Each class will feature samples to be tried and compared, together with products to take home to reinforce the lessons learned and invoke the associated pleasures.
